Westley Plastics Ltd is inviting expressions of interest and formal tenders from suitably qualified manufacturers for the design, manufacture, supply, installation and commissioning of a new 2 metre cast nylon spinner for our production facility in Cradley Heath, West Midlands.

The new equipment will replace an existing machine and form part of our continued investment in improving production efficiency, reliability and manufacturing capability. Scope of Supply

The successful supplier will be expected to provide a complete turnkey solution including:

• Design and manufacture of a 2 metre cast nylon spinner

• Heated spinning chamber

• Drive system

• Control system

• Hydraulic power pack

• Pneumatic mould clamping system

• Installation and commissioning

• Operator training

• Operating and maintenance documentation

• Warranty and ongoing technical support

Desired Equipment Features

The proposed equipment should include, where appropriate:

• Improved oven insulation and homogeneous heat distribution

• Accurate temperature control

• Air-operated mould clamping

• Integrated safety interlocks

• External hydraulic pushing/removal table for mould handling

• Robust industrial construction suitable for continuous production

Existing Process Information

The current process operates under the following typical conditions:

• Operating temperature: 120°C

• Warm-up period: approximately 1 hour

• Production length: approximately 2120 mm

• Hydraulic power pack: 1.5 kW
